Understanding how basic machine learning models or shallow model works can solve most of the problems posed in an industry that known a rapid development in the latest years. This workshop has the role of a short introduction into the theory of Machine Learning, describing basic models such as Naive Bayes, K-NN, SVM and the mathematics behind it for a better understanding of “why are these models working”. Also we will give a small intution of how data can be coded such that these models can work with them (i.e. text and images). Anyone who is participating at this workshop is welcome to bring their laptops and try the implementation that will be done in the course of the presentation.
